Anne Hathaway just threw some shade at the Kardashians on Instagram, but soon realised that was a big mistake! Just before she attended the premiere of her new film, Through the Looking Glass, in which she plays the white queen, Hathaway posted this meme with the caption "In a world of Kardashians... be a Helena Bonham Carter." But not long after it was posted, the fans of the Kardashian-Jenner clan quickly came to their defence.

Quickly realising her mistake, the 33-year-old star and new mom removed the post, replacing it with this....

"It never occurred to me I was pitting anyone against each other. Not my style. Peace x" read the caption of this post which gained more than 40 thousand likes in the space of one day. Whether this was her way of staying clear of Hollywood drama, or whether she just wasn't sure how to handle the inevitable social media backlash, her fans still supported her.

Many commenters, in fact, were disappointed in her decision to delete the post, saying she should "stand by what she originally posted". But even on the replacement post, people were still hating. Comments like "Apparently IS your style!! Funny, I don't see the Kardashian women putting other women down to make themselves feel superiorโ€ผ... I guess they were raised better.๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜’!" continued to appear. Guess this is a lesson learnt for Les Miserable actress!
