Instagram blogger makes hilarious parodies of model poses
Celeste Barber is one of those instagram bloggers who speak from our hearts, because she parodies unrealistic model poses - and she couldn't more hilarious
Celeste Barber isn't just an Instagram blogger, she's also a comedian, actress and writer, and on top of that, she's just plain funny. Who doesn't know that moment when you see beautiful model poses online and wonder, while being a little envious of their looks: what the hell is the model doing? Exactly this question probably goes through Celeste's head when she creates her parodies. She shows us how absurd some pictures are by simply recreating them in the most hilarious way!
We'll show you the funniest posts of her Instagram account on the next pages:
Looks really comfortable: an eccentric pose on...metal bars. Celeste seems to disagree, as becomes obvious in her funny post.
What's aesthetic about wearing a bag over one's head? Very little.
The focus of attention should be on the fancy shoes anyway - and the seemingly never ending thin legs...
Even Alessandra Ambrosio "falls victim" to Celeste Barber's sense of humor. Celeste's facial expression is a sight for sore eyes - Alessandra surely takes the parody with humor.
Who can't be missing from a parody of model poses? Yes, of course we are talking about Kylie Jenner. If you don't have the sea at your doorstep like the makeup mogul, then you just put up a pool and a plastic chair - and start posing.
Celeste's husband also joins in the fun! The Instagram blogger proves her humor with the witty caption:
"Thanks for letting me exploit you. I love you like Kanye loves Kanye."
The pose hasn't really made sense to us yet either. Except, of course, that the focus of attention is the shapely butt. We especially appreciate that Celeste also has a love for detail - because look at this pile of shoes.
In this seemingly perfect Instagram world, bodies and especially stomachs are super slim in every situation. Even if underpants cut into your skin on top of the elastic waistband of the sweatpants, everything is smooth and flat and flawless. But is it really? It's nice that there are people like Celeste who also show honest pictures of bodies.
Celeste knows no limits - she doesn't even stop at physical challenges! In our opinion, she cuts quite a figure.
When scrolling through Instagram, we often get the impression that there is such a thing as the perfect female body. The flood of photoshopped images makes us believe that we need to be exactly like the person in the picture - even though that idea is completely unrealistic. The body ideal we encounter on Instagram is almost unattainable.
The female body isn't perfect (at least not in the skewed way we understand the word "perfect" these days) and it's also not symmetrical. Celeste humorously advocates a new kind of perfect. And we love her for it.
Sure, we all know these totally mundane shopping situations and of course we are dressed exactly the same when we are on our way to the supermarket. Wearing two pairs of bikini bottoms is clearly very, very, absolutely, totally normal.
