Influencers are a part of our lives, whether we want it or not. While many have amazing and creative posts, others share annoying content

The job as an influencer can be - just like any other profession out there - both a blessing and a curse. Sure, thousands of people follow you, you get lots of stuff for free and you know how to take a good selfie. However, most influencers manipulate at least some of their photos, for example by using Photoshop, striking elaborate poses, and so forth. Sometimes we wish influencers had normal jobs, too. They would be perceived as way more down to earth and #relatable! While there are fantastic influencers who create important content, others spend more time deceiving their followers with their photos. It's not unusual to face a backlash after posting a controversial picture. Here's the type of content that's simply annoying:

#1 Going "Hiking"

It's absolutely okay to show off your cool new fitness outfit, but why do you have to pretend to be hiking when you're merely taking a picture in your backyard? @carlysos3 caught her sister red-handed!

#2 The Artist

What's art and what isn't lies in the eye of the beholder. It is, however, slightly suspicious that @cristinaszeifert holds the very same artist's palette in her hand in each picture. She uses the same paint on each picture, too ... this 'snap' can't be staged, right?!

#3 The "Environmental" Influencer

She's young, she's tanned - and she's about to board a flight. This isn't problematic per se, however, @nazjuju's jumper makes her seem a *bit* hypocritical. No one's ever saved the planet by taking a plane, sorry.

#4 The Perfect Spot for a Pic

This picture was posted on Reddit with the following comment: "Was told to post this here. Woman stomped all over the plants in this Conservatory for Instagram shots despite staff repeatedly asking her to stop." Who cares about plants anyways, right...

#5 Haha, Living Dangerously is so Much Fun!

Kelly and Kody are travel influencers and we must admit that the snaps of their many adventures that make it onto their Instagram account @positravelty make us a bit jealous - especially at the moment, with Lockdown and all. However, could they have gone a step too far with this photo? It does look quite dangerous.

#6 Living Dangerously: Part 2

Influencers obviously know that the competition is huge and that boring pictures of the 1524534th cup of matcha latte won't cut it. Do you actually have to risk your life, though? Kissing while leaning out of a moving train doesn't necessarily say "we're responsible adults". By now, the influencers behind the photo on @backpackdiariez have welcomed a baby to the world and we hope that their risky pics belong to their past.

#7 When You see it...

You don't know what's wrong with this pic? Well, we'll tell you: @aboutmichael poses in Chernobyl. Do we have to say anything else?

At first glance, it looks like @johannaeolsson is in pretty Paris. However, on closer inspection you can tell that she simply photoshopped herself onto a dreamy bridge in Paris! Mon Dieu!

#9 There are no Days off

Why would you take a day off on the day you get married? You have the perfect hair and makeup and outfit situation, so why not post a tiny ad? @likeandsub comments: "every girl dreams of growing up and doing a sponsored post for bang energy drink on their wedding day."

#10 Likes Instead of Cash

This conversation is so cringeworthy...this influencer actually asked an artist to draw a picture for them in exchange for likes...yikes.
